Mark Penner >> Owner
Born in Toronto, and raised in Winnipeg, Nova Scotia and Ontario, Mark spent most of his adult Life based in Vancouver, BC. He got his BSc. From Queen’s University, and has travelled the world, undertaking various projects, studies, and experiencing cultures. Having grown up with a background in music & theatre, he also worked in various capacities in television, commercials and film, While in Vancouver, Mark spent time on the Board of Directors at Vivo Media Arts, was a member at Cineworks, worked both at City Hall, and at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Now in the Yukon, as the new owner of Solid Sound Reinforcement. he is committed to bringing the highest quality of professional PA & A/V services and rentals to the North.

Jim Holland >> Technician
Jim has been a professional musician since 1988. He arrived in Whitehorse in 1999 as member of a full time road band and was offered a spot as the guitarist in the house band at the legendary Taku. He accepted and has never left the Yukon. With experience in live sound reinforcement for his own bands and others, Jim began to take on work at local bars. Jim built his first recording studio in 2003, working with the who’s who of local talent, all the while playing music in various bands and doing live sound. In 2013 , he opened his new recording studio, Green Needle Records. Jim presently works as a full time music producer, recording engineer and live sound FOH mixer.
